Una canción, dos versiones Vol. 2 (One Song, Two Versions Vol 2)

En la víspera del tan mentado referendo, quiero por un momento olvidarme de tanto odio que se destila al parecer por todas partes, escuchando y ofreciendo a su consideración una canción que siempre me ha gustado desde la primera vez que la oí.

On the eve of the so known referendum, I want to forget for a moment all the hatred that is distilled apparently everywhere, listening and offering you a song that I always liked since the first time that I listened to it.



Me refiero a la gran canción de Domenico Modugno y Franco Migliacci, "Nel blu dipinto di blu", popularmente conocida como "Volare", y que tiene el mérito de ser la única canción italiana en haber llegado al primer lugar en las listas del Billboard.

I'm talking about the great song from Domenico Modugno and Franco Migliacci, "Nel blu dipinto di blu", popularly known as "Volare" and that has the merit of being the only Italian song to have reached the number one on the lists of Billboard.



La segunda versión es en español, realizada por la artista chilena, radicada en México, Monna Bell, a quien acabo de redescubrirla, y quien tuviera una presencia fuerte en Latinoamérica allá en los años 60. Su versión titula "En el azul del cielo".

The second version is in Spanish, performed by the Chilean artist, that lived in Mexico, Monna Bell, whom I have rediscovered, and who used to have a strong presence in Latin America back in the 60's. His version entitled "En el azul del cielo" (In The Blue Of The Sky.)
